Aging in Place

Blooming Health has become a thought leader on Aging in Place, and we closely collaborate not only with community players, but also national leaders to define this vision.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention defines aging in place as: “the ability to live in one’s own home and community safely, independently, and comfortably, regardless of age, income, or ability level.

MetLife outlined the infrastructure needed to support the future of Aging in Place:

I. Connections to the world outside the home
• Technology
• Community resources
• Transportation and community infrastructure

II. Home design, devices, and assistive technologies reducing risk and facilitating wise and effective use of resources.
