Effective Communication
With the older adults in your community takes thoughtful planning. You want to keep them up to date on your activities and available resources, while helping them to continue living their best lives aging-in-place. Our group messaging platform is optimized to the unique needs of this audience so CBOs and AAAs can reach large groups of people with a few clicks in a personalized way, saving countless hours otherwise spent calling people one at a time.
Maintain High Levels of Communication
Maintaining such high levels of communication has its challenges when reaching out to large numbers of people in local communities and remote locations. Building trust with those your non-profit serves is significant, as this community is cautious of scams and other predatory behaviors that might cause them to miss an important message if it appears unfamiliar or suspect. How do you build and maintain trust in your messaging when your community has a variety of preferred communication methods from mobile devices to traditional landlines? What if they speak a variety of languages unavailable on your staff? What if they are tired of robocalls?
Blooming Health’s Communication Platform
Our communication platform has enabled CBOs and AAAs to send out broadcasts, surveys, and more while achieving high response rates by establishing this trust upfront. When members receive text messages or phone calls, they are always labeled with the phone number and name of the organization sending it. No mysterious spam-looking numbers or “No Caller ID” header on their mobile device that would cause the recipient to reject the message as fake. The sender is quickly identified as one they regularly communicate with, increasing engagement with your community and ensuring critical messages are received.
For members who prefer receiving voice calls, mass communications can be extra tricky when multiple languages are involved and computer-generated voices can raise additional concerns of authenticity. To fix this our platform begins voice messages with a pre-recorded greeting created by a key member of your organization identifying themselves and announcing the actual message follows. Callers will hear this message from their organization’s representative (likely someone they have spoken to before), followed by the computer-generated announcement in their language of choice. This eliminates any confusion about the message’s authenticity.
If a recipient is unavailable to answer an automated phone call, they will receive a voicemail with the same message starting with their representative’s announcement followed by the computer-generated message in their preferred language. Trust is maintained at every step.
