Hancock’s extensive experience in community leadership and government will be instrumental in driving Blooming Health’s mission to expand access to essential social services and improve the lives of vulnerable populations.

Hancock’s career is defined by his unwavering commitment to community engagement, equity, and economic development. After serving as President of the Metro Denver Urban League, he transitioned to public office, where he made a transformative impact as a Denver City Councilmember and later as the 45th Mayor of Denver. During his 12 years tenure, Hancock championed numerous initiatives, including the Denver Preschool Program, strategies to combat foreclosures, and Denver’s largest infrastructure improvement project. His leadership extended to the national stage, where he co-chaired Mayors Organized for Reparations and Equity (MORE), advocating for systemic change and racial equity.
