Improving Older Adults’ Engagement in Supportive Housing

Project FIND and Breaking Ground serve the New York metropolitan area with affordable housing units for low- and moderate-income and homeless older adults.

– Headquartered in Manhattan, NY, Project FIND has three affordable housing buildings, four older adult centers, and a homeless outreach program. They are responsible for the property management of their three affordable housing buildings, fostering the need to communicate quickly and efficiently with their residents.

– Operating across New York and Connecticut, Breaking Ground’s programs include Homeless Outreach, Transitional Housing, Permanent Supportive Housing, and Affordable Housing. Over the last five years, the senior population (62 and older) within Breaking Ground’s permanent supportive residences has grown to represent nearly 30% of their total residents.
