[Allentown, PA, 4-17-24] – Blooming Health has formed a partnership with Lehigh County Office of Aging & Adult Services (LCAAA) to provide their communication platform connecting seniors through voice calls, text messages, and email in 80 different languages.
Using Blooming Health, Lehigh County is able to connect with older adults and better communicate information about services, provide referrals and easily collect survey data to improve community efforts. This will enable older adults to receive timely assistance, alerts about critical information or programs and educational information to stay engaged with their community and improve access to services.
Recent Blooming Health collaborations included messaging information about LCAAA caregiver support program which can provide up to a total of $5,000.00 of reimbursement for durable medical equipment, home modifications, or caregiving supplies. The messaging system is also enhancing the LCAAA’s ability to communicate information about a new Pennsylvania State program now operating in Lehigh County, called Shared Housing and Resource Exchange (SHARE). In addition, the Platform will be used in promoting a FREE event to the public to educate adults and older adults regarding how to protect themselves from being a victim of financial exploitation or other types of abuse. This event will be held on Tuesday, June 25th at noon at DeSales University in Center Valley, PA in Honor of Elder Abuse Awareness Day, SIGN UP is required.
